The journey

For travellers who want to see another side of Sri Lanka, this journey ventures north to Jaffna — a peninsula of vibrant Hindu temples, palmyra palms, island ferries and distinctive Tamil cuisine.

You then follow the east coast to Trincomalee and Pasikudah, where calm turquoise waters, coral reefs and quiet beaches await, before closing in the Cultural Triangle at Sigiriya.
